Datuk Rosdi Mahmud

Colonel (Retired) Datuk Rosdi Mahmud (RMAF), has more than 40 years of experience in military and corporate world. He is currently the Executive Director to G7 Aerospace Sdn Bhd. He has degrees in Physics in 1980 and Aerospace Engineering in 1983 from University of Melbourne and University of Sydney, Australia respectively. Datuk Rosdi obtained his Masters of Science in Reliability from Cranfield University UK in 1992. He served Royal Malaysia Air Force (RMAF) for 25 years in various technical positions with a last rank of full Colonel with a position in RMAF as Head of Staff System for Logistics Command in 2002.

He then joined AIROD (MRO Company) as Vice President of Operations from 2002-2003. Datuk Rosdi then became the Group CEO of Composites Technology Research Malaysia (CTRM) in 2004 to 2013. CTRM is entrusted with a strategic role to develop high technology-based industry, namely the aerospace and composites industries. With Datuk Rosdi’s vision and leadership, CTRM was transformed into a profit-making company and a sought after Global Supply Chain player in the Aero structures business.

Datuk Rosdi was responsible in getting the Government to set up a consortium for Malaysian in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) development where CTRM leads the entity and eventually received contract from Malaysia Armed Forces. With the experience acquired over the years, in November 2013 Datuk Rosdi joined G7 Aerospace as the Executive Director.

Datuk IR Kamarulzaman Zainal

Datuk Ir Kamarulzaman Zainal graduated with BSc (Mechanical Engineering) in 1985 from the University of Texas at Austin, USA. Upon graduation, he joined the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) performing various technical duties in the areas of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO); through life logistics support management; design & development as well as airworthiness regulation. During his tour of duty under the Malaysia-Australia Joint Defence Program in 1995, he served the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) for 1½ years under an exchange program. Kamarulzaman later retired as Lieutenant Colonel after 21 years active service

The most significant contribution during his military service was introduce and operationalize airworthiness management system for state-registered aircraft which later became the foundation for the establishment of the Directorate General Technical Airworthiness (DGTA), currently under the Ministry of Defence.

From 2002 to 2016, Kamarulzaman was Senior Vice President of the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT); an organization under the Prime Ministers’ Department. He was responsible for developing the nation’s strategies for advancement of aerospace, maritime and rail industries as well as pioneering the government initiative on offset (now known as ICP) management and Performance Based Contracts (PBC), currently documented as Treasury Circulars PK 1.7 & PK 1.8 respectively.
